Sandra has been a professional artist all her working life. After graduating from a two year Commercial Art course in Colorado Springs which emphasized lettering and layout, she began in the sign industry working as a designer / sketch artist. That evolved into architectural illustration in a Phoenix studio and later in her own studio in Houston, TX and St.Petersburg, FL.

Sandra has been in numerous group and juried shows. She is a member of the National League of American Pen Women and local art clubs.

Her favorite subjects, however, have always been horses. She comes by that from personal experience, growing up in the midwest with her own horse and keeping a saddle horse for several years while working. Her first sketches as a child, were of horses and their gear.

Now living near the Payson Park Thoroughbred Training Center in south central Florida, she has entered the world of fine art and gone back to painting what she loves most, horses. Sandra is an award winning artist who paints in watercolor and acrylic. Her commissioned horse portraits start at $800.00, with satisfaction guaranteed.
